Torah Mantles

Twelve weekday mantles for West End Synagogue, Nashville, TN. Each mantle is a variation of the flame theme, consistent with the flame imagery of the Ark doors. Red, gold, and deep marigold silks also incorporating free-motion embroidery, appliquéd onto French blue dupioni silk background.

  High Holy Day Torah Mantles

Two of twelve mantles for West End Synagogue, Nashville, TN. Various textured fabrics in golds and copper appliquéd onto white dupioni silk background with gold bands on top and bottom. Flames are slightly raised, creating three-dimensional effect.

  Shavuot Bimah Cover
Beit Rayim Synagogue, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.

Shavuot is known in the Bible as the harvest festival. This bimah cover was inspired by the seven species of fruit and grains of ancient Israel: "A land of wheat, barley, grape vines, figs and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and date honey". (Deut. 8:8)

Fruits and grains in pastel shades of silks are appliquéd onto a cream dupioni silk background. Design is on three sides of the bimah cover.

  Wall hanging for Ann Arbor Reconstructionist Chavurah

8' x 6' wall hanging for Ann Arbor Reconstuctionist chavurah donated in honor of the 2005/6 Bar Mitzvah class. Imagery chosen specifically to represent boys' individual Bar Mitzvah portions: Burning bush, water, angels/shekhina, moon.

Painted silk and dupioni silk appliquéd onto microfiber background.

Wording: "For You are the Source of life; In Your light we shall see light".(Psalm: 36:9).
